In this special edition, we have spoken to April from @splendidblog who has delved into the art of setting and styling the perfect Mother's Day table. Brittanie: Thanks so much for taking the time to talk with us about your gorgeous Mother’s Day table! Can you tell us what inspired your Mother's Day tablescape design?
April: Absolutely! I found inspiration for this setting in the elegance of flowers and the cosy glow of sunlight streaming through the windows onto the table.
B: Wow – love how easily inspiration flows to you, how beautiful! Could you describe the colour scheme and theme you chose for the tablescape?
A: I adorned the table with an assortment of different pink tones through flowers and ribbons to amplify the feminine allure, resulting in a sophisticated ambiance for a delightful Mother's Day brunch.
B: What elements did you include to create a festive atmosphere?
A: I included lots of bright happy colours as well as working with stainless steel, candles and different florals so that the light can dance around the table and create a happy and inviting environment.
B: Can you share any tips or tricks for arranging flowers or decorations on the table?
A: Creating a pattern is essential, I always discover that when I incorporate floral or decorative elements with repetition, it brings out a stunning tablescape. Additionally, I enjoy incorporating various textures into my designs. B: Textures is a must, I agree! Finally, can you recommend any resources or sources of inspiration for creating a beautiful tablescape?
A: Pinterest has definitely always been my go-to resource for finding inspiration for my next tablescape, apart from that especially when I am time poor is to go to the local farmers market and find inspiration where I find it easy to just go with the flow by choose from the selection of beautiful seasonal blooms and local produce to fill the table.
