Master the art of Flower Arranging with Ash's Top 6 Flower Arrangement TipsYOU WILL NEED - Your choice of florals (minium two different bunches), scissors and a vase.Ash uses two large bunches of hydrangeas and smokebush, and our Fleur Jardin Vase. Step 1: Create a MoodboardYour choice of florals is going to immediately set the tone for your arrangement. Create a vision board using Pinterest or Insta to get a rough idea of your floral theme and colour scheme. Step 2: Select your Vessel While you don't want the vase to steal the show, selecting a strong vessel will determine the structure of the arrangement. Choose a vase that will compliment your flower by looking at structure and shape! Step 3: Prepare your Flowers To prepare your first bunch of flowers, remove any leaves or damaged/wilted petals. With a pair of scissors, cut each stem on an angle at a variety of different heights. Step 4: Create the Base Fill your vase with a generous amount of water to keep the arrangement sturdy. Next, start adding your longer, branchier stems - this will act as the skeleton of your arrangement. Step 5: Fill in the Gaps Continue to fill in the space so there are no large gaps or holes. Keep in mind that levels and variety in texture are super important in creating a well-balanced design. Step 6: Take a step back It's now time to critique your arrangement! Make sure minimal stems are showing to achieve a full and fluffy shape so your flowers look as natural as possible. Now is the time to have a little floral fun of your own! Play around with colours and textures, shapes and vessels to create your dreamy arrangement. For wedding florals and stunning flower inspo, check-out @filmandfoilage.
